World Hepatitis Day Workshop | July 2023

Rupayan Foundation participated in the World Hepatitis Day workshop organised by the District Health & Family Welfare Society, West Tripura. The Founder of Rupayan Foundation addressed the session, highlighting the link between substance abuse and Hepatitis, and emphasising the importance of awareness, early testing, and integrated rehabilitation.

On the occasion of World Hepatitis Day 2023, a Workshop cum Sensitization Programme was organised by the District Health & Family Welfare Society, West Tripura, under the Office of the Chief Medical Officer, in collaboration with TSACS.

As part of this official programme, the Founder of Rupayan Foundation was invited to participate and share insights during the workshop. The session focused on awareness, prevention, early testing, and the importance of timely intervention for Hepatitis, in line with the year’s theme “We’re Not Waiting.”

During the interaction, the Founder highlighted the close link between substance abuse, high-risk behaviour, and communicable diseases like Hepatitis. Emphasis was laid on the need for integrated approaches that combine de-addiction, counselling, health awareness, and community-level sensitisation to ensure long-term public health outcomes.

Rupayan Foundation’s participation in this government-led initiative reflects its continued commitment to working alongside health authorities in spreading awareness, strengthening prevention efforts, and addressing substance abuse and related health challenges through a holistic rehabilitation model.
