Workshop on Disaster Preparedness, Child Marriage & Drug De-Addiction – 2025
On 22 January 2025, a Sub-Divisional Level Workshop on Disaster Preparedness, Child Marriage & Drug De-Addiction was held at New Town Hall, Bishalgarh, organised by the Office of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Bishalgarh, Sepahijala District, Government of Tripura.
The programme was honoured by the presence of Mr. Malyaban Chakraborty, Director of Rupayan Foundation, who participated as a Guest of Honour. During the workshop, he spoke in depth about the growing challenge of drug addiction, sharing insights on its impact on individuals, families, and society. He stressed the importance of awareness, timely counselling, structured rehabilitation, and collective community responsibility in addressing substance abuse.
Alongside discussions on drug de-addiction, the workshop also included informative sessions on disaster preparedness and the prevention of child marriage, encouraging coordinated efforts among administrators, professionals, and social organisations.
